4th of July Scrapbook Pages

The morning of the the 4th this year I was up earlier that the kids so I decided to create some scrapbook pages.  It just happened that I had some pictures of a earlier 4th of July to work on.  I had a DCWV kit for the 4th of July that I used.  I also used some ephemera from Pink Paisley Hello Sunshine and some MME brads.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut part of the titles (4th) and used stickers from the kit for the rest.

This first layout was created for my youngest's scrapbook.  I just used one of my favorite easy layout ideas, using two 6x6 papers to create a focal point and mat for pictures.  I wish i would of place the title closer to the  papers but i had glued the 4th part down and didn't want to deal with torn paper so it is what it is. I think I will add the journaling below the title and that will use up that space and bring the page together more.

This second page I created is for my boy's scrapbook.  He was so fun to watch at that age.  I really wish I could just rewind time to watch my kiddos when they were younger again.  That is probably why I enjoy scrapbooking so much.  I can relive fun memories.  For this page I followed the July sketch from Stuck?! Sketches. I used the same products as above listed and also a few stickers from Heidi Swapp's Planner collection and some Recollections washi tape from Michaels.  I liked this page but was having some inner conflict because I usually leave my white space around the outside of the page and not in the center.

This layout was created by my second daughter for her scrapbook.  She likes to scrap with me and since I like to do pages for all the kids books and my own I love to have her help and watch her create.  She made some firecrackers (bottom center) with some patterned paper and string.  I thought this was very creative.  She used the same products as I did.  She definitely has her own style and I love it.  I think it will be great for her to see her own style evolve.
I still have two layouts to create for this event so I hope to post them soon.  I love the 4th of July and all the history behind it.  I love the parades, the rodeos, the fireworks, but mostly I love being with my family.
