Sale-a-Bration - Paper Blooms DSP

DSP - What is DSP?

Well it is the abbreviation of Stampin Up's Designer Series Paper.

And Paper Blooms DSP is one of the beautiful free items you can get with a $50 purchase of Stampin Up products.   This paper is so easy to use.  I will show you several cards made with it and a Scrapbook page I  made for my daughter.

Another cool thing about this paper is the In Bloom Bundle (Item 156208) which is coordinating stamps and dies found in the JJ2021 Mini Catalog.  These stamps and dies work perfectly with this paper.  The dies will put Stitched details on the paper.  So pretty isn't it.

This image is from the Sale-a-bration brochure and it shows what I was just talking about with the dies.  This bundle is on my wish list for sure.

So get ready for these cute cards made with the Paper Bloom DSP.

Several of the cards also feature the A Touch of Ink Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Watch for a post about these stamps soon.

Look at how Paula Skeen used the DSP to frame up the center images.

This uses small strips of the DSP to give interest to the right side of the card.  Think of the endless ways that strips of paper could be used on a card.  I love using patterned paper strips to create a background for my focal image.

Viviane Taveres used so many things to make this beautiful card.  She used another Sale-a-braton stamp set called Heal your Heart.  I think we all can use a bit of healing these days.

This is a beautiful card by Joya Bohman.  She used paper strips too.  Isn't it crazy how the different use of the DSP makes a new look even though the paper strips are about the same size.

This scrapbook page uses the strip of one of the B side (simpler patterns) torn on an angle to create a border for the page.  I also fussy cut out the flowers and circles to create the embellishments.  Some of the flowers and leaves are popped up using Stampin Dimensionals which is one of my favorite items from Stampin Up.  The title is even created using the navy from around the flowers I fussy cut.  I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to cut the title.  This paper took less than an hour to create and that includes all the fussy and die cutting.  I could have made it quicker if I would have just glued the title straight to the page but I like dimension so I cut all the bits out of scrap white card stock several times and glued them together to get a raised title.  See the picture below for a better view.

Yes I had many tears with my daughter last spring wondering what the end of her Senior year would be like.  It was very different but I am so grateful for the amazing teachers and administration she had who tried to make it as special as they could.

I think I need to add some bling to this page though.  I'm thinking either some Rhinestone Basic Jewels or Pastel Pearls.  Which do yo think would be better? I think I am leaning toward the Pastel Pearls.  Watch my Instagram for an updated photo with the embellishments.

Happy Crafting and remember this Paper Blooms DSP is only available until Feb 28 with your qualifying purchase.  Click on my shopping link for all your Stampin Up products.
