Christmas Blouse

A few weeks ago I saw the cutest shirt that my neice had made for her little girl.  So my wheels started turning and I came up with this blouse for my littlest.

I used and plain t from old navy, some mini ruffle fabric, some Wonder Under and buttons.

It was so fun and easy.  So thanks Andrea for the inspiration.

After her wearing all day though the bottom corners of the tree came undone and so before I wash it I will lift up some of the ruffles and sew a straight seam to hold the tree down.  The seam will be under the ruffle so it won't ever show.

K was determined to wear the christmas pin on the christmas shirt.  Oh to be young and just wear whatever.  It really does look good huh.

Furniture remake

This was my most recent (almost first furniture redo).  IT had been a long time since I'd done a redo like about 10 years.  It was fun and I have a few more planned so I'd better get working on them.

This was a night stand that a neighbor was getting rid of and so I snatched up and repainted it for M's room.

I liked the color. I have some great handles that I got at Hobby Lobby but they didn't fit the holes that were already in the drawers.  I'll be on the hunt again  for more that will match her room decor.

See that cute quilt.  That was my first quilt on my own and I love it.  I has so many good and funny memories associated with it.  And thanks to my mom who taught me to quilt and helped me to hand quilt this one.  Wish she was still here to quilt with.  I guess I'll be Glad for the time I had.
